Technical and Customer Support:
Apollo Hosting provides its customers with a number of different ways to contact them for support. They offer a presale FAQ, QuickStart guides, a knowledge base, video tutorials, and online manuals. Customers can also contact the support team via 24/7 e-mail, live chat, and a toll-free telephone line. We would give Apollo an average rating for its support, as it's not as good as that of top-rated hosting providers. Telephone support is available Monday through Sunday, but only between 9am and 6pm CST. Also, Apollo claims that their live chat is available 24/7, but in reality that does not seem to be the case.
Features/Scripts/Languages:
One of our favorite aspects of Apollo Hosting is the number of cool features provided. Even the most basic plan supports up to four different sites on a single account. We also like the many e-commerce features, which include real-time credit card processing, Paypal capabilities, and much more.
E-mail features with the basic plan include 500 POP accounts, auto-responders, forwarding, and web mail. Apollo's basic plan supports several scripts, languages, and platforms such as FrontPage, MySQL databases, a CGI directory, PHP, and Perl. However, Apollo's value Plan does not support ASP.
Bottom Line:
We believe that Apollo Hosting is a solid company that offers great features for a very competitive price. Although its level of customer service may lag behind that of some other companies, Apollo is still an excellent choice for your web hosting solutions.
